QR code generator
Make a QR code for a website, a Wi-Fi network, a contact card, a phone number, an email or an SMS. No account, no cost, and nothing you type leaves your browser.
Fill in the form to see your code.
This is a static code.
The content is inside the code itself. It is not encrypted, it cannot be changed after you print it, and you will not be able to see who scanned it.
Nothing you type here is sent to us. We do not store this code, and we could not retrieve it for you later.
Static or dynamic? covers what changes once a code is printed.
Static or dynamic?
The code this page makes is static: the content is encoded into the pattern itself. That makes it free and instant, and it also means the pattern is the content. Anyone who scans it reads exactly what you typed, forever, and the only way to change where it points is to print a new one.
A dynamic code holds only an opaque address on our domain. What sits behind that address is encrypted at rest, is gated by default, and can be changed, paused or revoked without reprinting anything. That is the product we sell, and this page is the clearest explanation of why it exists.
If the thing you are encoding is a home Wi-Fi password or a personal phone number, a static code is genuinely the right answer: it never touches a server. If it is anything you might need to change, restrict or measure, it is not.
